I need a video editing software (kinda urgent)

Hello guys. I have a demonstration project video, in mkv/mp4 format, which I need to edit. By edit I mean there are some parts of the video I need blur out or you know modify, so that part can't be seen, personal stuffs, like bank a/c no. etc. (like some videos in YouTube!)
Someone suggested me Adobe After Effects, but I am not understanding anything in that app! It's not even taking my matroska/mp4 file!
Is there any simple app, which could do this? I mean I will prefer a simple UI. I have the presentation tomorrow, and I still can't find a way to modify it!

TIA.

Most video editors would take the mp4 container format. Matroska is a container format, but not necessarily one that most editors would take. It would require a conversion.

I can only offer another option to look into for video editing. I have used is VideoStudio Pro - a software that usually is no more than $40 to $60. This is about as simple for me in video editing with enough options available for editing.

There are plenty of Youtube tutorials for this.

A blurring tutorial in Corel VideoStudio.

I am downloading the trial as I type in this. Thanks a lot mate. That demo video looked damn easy! If I like it first thing I will do is buy it tomorrow, as I will be needing it for my projects in future several times.
In the meantime if you remember even a better one kindly input here. By better I mean more simple and more features.

Adobe After Effects is probably the best but isn't intuitive.

Or the cheaper option would be to not show personal info in a video, duh! Or if you are, photocopy it with the #'s or text covered up.
