Alright so instead of doing all this last minute, I need to start getting ready for prom. I believe my options are to order online or go into a store. I am assuming that going into a store to get fitted it the best. Would you recommend buying it or renting?
This is the dress my date is wearing:

She said to get "red accents" too. The woman said she will be wearing some red jewelry I guess. Besides making sure I get my name on the list for prom king, do you guys have any additional suggestions? Tips? Experiences? Thanks

Haha if shes' telling you what to get you should prolly take her with you when you pick one out :D

at my prom I had a baby blue tux and my date had this poofy pink dress.

Only color at the whole thing, bunch of conservatives :(

Go to a store. Bring her. Let her make the decisions. You only need comment on how it fits and smile.

Take her with you. If she can, tell her to bring a swatch of the fabric her dress is made out of or a swatch of exact color(s). If she has the jewelry, bring that too.

Based on this, the person at the tux place will be able to match what color tie/vest you should wear.

Unless you plan on going to a lot of fancy affairs and know for certain you'll never let your weight change (they don't call em the freshmen 15 in college for nothing), don't buy a tux, just rent it.

I've heard stories that this is what marriage is like. Damn...

My friend was the assistant manager at the local tux place, so I was taken care of junior and senior year...got the best of everything, probably saved a few hundred overall :D

Don't let her pick what you wear, what's wrong with you...get something you like.

Rent, and go with a classic double breasted tux. Your vest, tie, and ideally cufflinks should match her dress

Get a piece of fabric from her dress and bring her or your mom, sister, best female friend etc... to help pick out what you should wear

Make sure she (or another woman) is there. Go classical, nothing weird. I used Men's Warehouse, but they messed up my order so I had black and white, not the yellow vest and such that I should have had. Bowtie if you wanna look cool...

rent, get a vest, wear a tie, wear a color that matches your date (red). and if you feel the need to, get your date to go with you to pick one out.
