I need a tactic for staying up another 20 hours.

I got home from vacation early Monday and I woke up at about 3pm on Monday. I need to leave for school in an hour, then after that I go to work until 1145pm.

What do you recommend? Big breakfast? 20 cups of coffee? First day of school too. ;)

During my army days we would use the small tobasco sauce bottle in the MRE's and drop sauce in our eyes. I lived off that in the field for quite awhile. Promised to keep you alert, or at least not thinking about sleep. lol Those were the 30min-2hours of sleep per day for weeks-months on end. Now ill just drink coffee or anything with caffine...but always has the tobasco for a last resort.

I'm going for the "say up a whole day" thing right now as well. (haven't been since the afternoon, trying to make it until 10 tonight) I have a crapload of mountain dew (not too much help) and just ate a ton of hot-drenched chicken for breakfast which seems to have upped my metabolism for now. Some sudafed later will help as I already planned on taking some for some mild allegeries.

Use toothpicks to keep your eyelids from closing. Tape your eyes open. Paint false pupils on your eyelids (if all else fail)
(seen in a Tom & Jerry cartoon)

:shocked:x2. So you would be awake, but wouldn't the burning offset the benefits of being awake? I find it hard to open my eyes when I get hot sauce/pepper juice in them.

Take a small timer or alarm and try to get 15-30 minute naps. When I worked in theater we usually pulled 48-72 hour installs. I'd sleep from 5:00am to 5:30am, then at noon, and then again during our dinner break. Don't get too jacked up on sugars and coffee. Just remain working, if you have a break in action take a nap.
