Superglue keeps failing on me.

It's for the kind of plastic that computer cases are made of. Superglue isn't working for me. I don't know if it's eating away at the part or what.

Anyway, if anyone knows of any good plastics glues that are very strong, I'd appreciate it.

Update 6/8/05:

Sorry for not getting back earlier, I have a super busy schedule and don't get on the computer a lot during the week.

The bond was fairly strong, but in looking for adjectives for this post, I managed to make the glue fail. I'll try more water next time.

Update 6/9/05:

Okay, this time it seems to be a bit stronger. I can pull on the case door (it was the latch that broke) and it stays put. Make sure to use enough glue and get the pieces wet enough.

This crap could glue your car to the cieling if you needed to.

Looks fascinating...:Q

We got a bottle of that stuff here, and I've used it for many things. Let me just say do NOT apply it to anything you may ever want to seperate again before you die. You'd need five fat welders named "Larry" and a team of Clydesdales to get something apart again once you've use this glue.

Buddy of mine used to work for a construction company, said it was the glue they used to put up patterned shale stone on sides of houses that wanted that type of wall decor.

He said it was the only glue they used because it held everything.

Okay, I went to three places and finally found some Gorilla Glue. I thought that they might have it at Hobby Lobby, and they might, but that store seems to have been designed by women, because you couldn't find anything in it.

I'll report on how the GG worked for me after it cures.

Thanks for the replies.

DO NOT FORGET TO WIPE THE AREA TO BE GLUED WITH A DAMP CLOTH IMMEDIATELY BEFORE GLUING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moisture causes it to cure.

Also, don't get crazy because it is a foaming glue. It expands a great deal.

I've had excellent success with SuperGlue's Plastic Fusion 2 part plastic epoxy.

A lot of epoxies/glues don't like certain types of plastic...

Oh, wait...

I dampened it before applying and I followed its pleading instructions not to use too much.
