MDR-V6 with Beryldynamic pads. Should cost you around $110 to get them all, shipped.
Trust me, you'll love it.

Well, if you ever change your mind and decide to go with earbuds, try the B&O A8. They're $160 here but you can get them from fleabay or someone you know in HK for $80-90

The B&O A8 are ABSOLUTE CRAP

dont waste your money.

to each his own I guess. I find them to be better than just about any other earbud out there right now.

I like the Sony MDR-7506. They are light and comfortable, and most recording studios use them because they are one of the most accurate cans and reproduce almost everything from the original recording. They are closed-design though.

I just bought the Senn 497s from Amazon after they appeared in the Hot Deals Forum. About $45 shipped after coupon. I haven't done any long-term listening, but first impression is that they sound about as good or better than most closed headphones I've heard. They're lightweight and seem comfy enough, but I haven't done any long term testing yet. Every person's head is different - you might want to find a local store that will let you "preview" headphones to find what best fits you. The 497s are nowhere near as comfortable my flying headphones with the gel pads. I'd use my flying headphones, but they're mono and the sound is best described as "adequate for radio" (clear voices, but doesn't cover the entire frequency range). If comfort is your #1 priority, you might want to look for gel pads for whatever headphones you get - look for aviation types of replacement pads - pilots have to wear them for hours and not get distracted by discomfort.
