the best if that's your primary goal, lest you have very high budget for a passive cooled PSU.

I've had the Seasonic S-12 500 for 5 months now and am very pleased and impressed with how quiet and cool temperature wise it is. If you want quiet it is a great choice and plenty of power. Rails are very steady on my FoxConn mb monitor. One of my better purchases.

I have the Seasonic S-12 600 and it is whisper quiet. I can't hear it with my face next to it.

I have the 430 which I think is just slightly quieter than the 500/600 watt models from what I've read, but mine is practically dead silent. Kind of hard to tell over the rest of my fans once those are on too though

My antec TPII550 is very quiet.

Another vote for an Antec TruePower 2.0, mine's just about dead silent.
