UPDATE I drove out in the quest of finding one last quarter on earth. I stop by a payphone look around made sure nobody was around, then start smashing the hell out of that poor machine All of a sudden, a fvcking police car just came right out of intersection and order me through the speaker to stand still with my back facing him and two hands in the air!!!!!!!HOLLY CRAP!!:Q:Q:Q I AM GOING TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He then approached me and asked why I was kicking at the payphone..I was thinking to myself "how lame is it going to sound if I tell him that I was just in a desperate need of one more quarter to dry my clothes" but then I went ahead and tell him the truth. He gave me this WEIRD look for 5 seconds then reached down his pocket and said "here you go, son! never kick at any public property again"

quarters when I lived in the dorms and when I lived in my fraternity were like gold. Had to hide them so that no one would gank them from your change jar. Maybe not steal them, but give you 2 dimes and a nickel for your precious quarters. Sometimes people would sell them, like 3 for a dollar or something ridiculous like that. most of the time, if I could spare them, I'd give them, or at least give quarters for the equivalent in other change.

Our soda machines used to run out of quarters after a while, because people would do what I suggested above. We had a .50 soda machine, so it was easy.

IF you have a hammer and some time, go smash the nickel until it gets to the size of a quarter. Trust me, it works.

Just go to a soda machien and buy a dang soda. I doubt a can will cost more then 75 cents, then you'll get a quarter back.
