I need a notebook with long battery life

Hey guys, im having trouble finding articles online recommending full notebooks with great battery life (4+ hours). If you could recommend either reviews or certain models it would be greatly appreciated. Im looking to spend $500 or so. Thanks!

If you don't need a large screen or great performance, the netbooks with 6 cell batteries generally get 5+ hours. Indeed the Asus N10J with optional 9 cell battery (don't know availability yet) has a claimed 10+ hours.

Otherwise, you'd want a notebook with integrated video, thrifty CPU with power saving features (like Core 2 Duo) and the largest battery you can get, typically an 8 or 9 cell unit.

thinkpads have great battery life for their size and power. Its partially due to the good thinkpad power management.
i'd recommend their 9 cell battery
