I have an x2 4200 as a desktop pc,but need something fast to travel with.
I've been out of commission for the last 5 months and don't know what was released

Any recommendations?
It will be used mostly for movies, internet and photoshop.

My Thinkpad (T-42) w/ a 1.7 PM and 1.5 gig of RAM runs Photoshop & Illustrator very well. There's not another laptop available right now (for any price) that I'd rather own.

I also support the 9300..have one and it is excellent. Search for discount coupon codes on the web for added discounts.

One of the new MacBook Pros should run it pretty well, then again you can't get your hands on one for another month or so...

Actually, low-end T42 and T43 configurations come at fairly reasonable prices.

And a 9300 is not the kind of laptop I would want if I were travelling. Good lord.

It seems to me that the most important thing for a Photoshop laptop would be the screen - I'd check out Fujitsu, personally. I've read that they have very good screens (not something most Thinkpads are known for, unfortunately), and they certainly have some really neat laptops that would be great for travelling with.

The new Apples are also worth a look, if you don't mind the operating system.
