I need a nextel guru pls

I pciked up a i415 today and this is the first nextel/boost phone that wants a *special code.* I always swap the sim from my work nextel to cheapie boost phones from target but this i415 wants a code when I put my sim in. Maybe I have to active the phone first on the sim that came with it? I did not want to start using days on that card yet. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a mechanism to prevent people from doing that. I suggest calling Sprint together with Nextel.

I called them and they told me that a boost sim will work in a nextel phone but a nextel sim will not work in a boost phone.

ah well
