Hey, I have 180 dollars to spend on a video card. Now that the 8800gt's are down in price, I want to pick up one of them. The question is which 8800gt?

Here is my current rig
Windows Xp 32
3 gigs of ocz ddr2 800 ram
nforce 570sli
NZXT PP 500 watt psu
nvidia 8600gts
amd 64 x2 5000+

Will i notice a big jump from my 8600gts to an 8800gt? Thanks!

I think that's a pretty substantial jump in power, depending on resolution. 1650x1080 or higher would be noticeable.

I would personally purchase an EVGA brand for their warranty, but I wouldn't mind most other brands given a discount. Check out the FS/FT forum. I purchased a used Asus one with all accesories for $125 shipped :)

XFX 8800GT 512MB $147 after MIR

Why by used when you can get a new card with a double lifetime warranty? Just remember to register it.

EDIT: And yes, your power supply should be more than adequate for the new GPU.

Your PSU only has 16A-17A on the 12V rails. I would recommend upgrading it for your new video card.
