I've got an almost 3 year old Droid Razr. My employer used to buy my cellphone and pay a cellphone allowance, but some genius in accounting figured they were wasting too much money on that and killed the allowance if you make over a certain wage here....
I'm grandfathered in on Verizon's unlimited data plan and I pay a mere $65/month after taxes for 450 minutes and unlimited text/data. I'm happy with that because I don't talk that much to non-verizon numbers. My phone, however, is starting to show its age. It gets extremely slow from time to time which is so bad I can't always answer it because the phone app won't come up. I've tried a few things....lag fix, formatting my memory card, rooting the phone, etc... I think it's just a memory/processor issue after JellyBean was installed...things were faster before it....but rather than getting another rom, I'm thinking about moving to something different.
What's a good replacement that I can buy with cash (out-of-pocket) that will give me performance, value, 4g, bluetooth, and allow occasional free wifi tether under the radar? I like android because my music collection is on Google Music...but other than that, I could switch to iPhone if I could get used to only having one button.
