Just don't buy leg huggers. I don't know what possesses people who have no calves or quads to buy leg hugging jeans that make them look like twigs.

Oh, and the poser, oversized, down to butt-crack is out for men.

I went to the mall for the first time in several years a few weeks ago as it was the easiest place to return a cable modem. It was really bizarre seeing men in super tight jeans. Must be in since it was way too hot out for anything but shorts for those of us who don't give a crap about fashion. Even when it gets cold I'm sticking with my comfortable baggy jeans.

I wish I had that kind of disposable income to waste $200+ on a pair of jeans.

I guess it's all about priorities. I'll spend much more than that on motorcycle parts and Nikon glass.

I found a place about a half mile from me that sells R&R jeans. I think I'm going to try on a pair tomorrow and see what the fuss is about.

Totally agree it's about priorities. If you're not into fashion, you're not going to see what's so cool about R&R or TR jeans. The price is going to seem exorbitant. Similarly, if you're not into cars, you're not going to see what's so cool about headers or NOS or halo headlights. It's going to seem like a colossal waste of time and money.

jeans are classic, it doesn't matter unless you try to go too baggy or whatever.

These often show up in Marshall's and Ross for dirt cheap. I've picked up a few pairs for about $20 a piece.

Here's how your jeans should fit: http://www.kinowear.com/blog/bfd-bad-fit-disease/

Scroll down a few pages and you'll see the comparison of bad and good fitting jeans.

btw, with designer jeans, a great strategy to getting them at stupid good deals is to go to the store, try them on, write down the type, brand, and sizing. Then go online and pick them up either on ebay or from a wholesaler who doesn't have extreme markups. My friend paid $300 for true religions at nordstrom. I bought them from my tailor for $99.

It's next to impossible to go back to regular jeans once you wear designer stuff though. I wore gap stuff for YEARS then finally bought a pair of R&Rs and True Religions and there was a HUGE difference. The texture, the fabric, the wash, the color...it's like driving a pinto versus a bentley. Not to mention the fact that everyone seems to notice you're not wearing shitty 80s style jeans anymore.

Couldn't agree more. I used to not care at all about what type of jeans I bought until I met my current girlfriend, who is a manager at Nordstrom. Now, I have to admit that I'm addicted to some good RRs, although 7s and TR aren't too bad either. Seriously, the RRs are just too comfortable! Especially when you can get massive discounts on them :D

My favorite jeans are a pair of Levi's 514s. I think they cost around $50 at the Levis store I got them at.

Bitches love my new jeans. And if they don't... fuckin skanks.

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

I personally prefer The Buckle stores' brand, called BKE. They fit me the best of all the pairs I have tried, and usually run $60-$70. Lucky's are also nice, although they are a bit more expensive - usually in the $70-$90 range.

There's a Buckle store in the local mall. This is the first I've seen one. Haven't been in there yet. I have to run to the mall today anyway. I'll check them out.

Get yourself another pair of the 527's. Their style is new enough to avoid dorkiness and old enough to avoid gayness.

This.

Or if you are lazy I would say Lucky brand is tier 2 jeans in terms of style and quality at the $100 level and Levis are good value for $50 level.
