I need a new Motherboard

Well I've had it with VIA chip motherboards no more with these C<>P boards.
Up until recently all was well-now RMA cannot supply good replacements.
I've been buying VPSD,Chaintech,Msi & PC chips/w via chip sets all bad
replacements using (P4 processors)

Question is I'm looking for a P4 Board (looks like it will have to be w/Intel chip sets)
that will run DDR400 memory & hyperthreading.I don't need cutting edge speed/w all
the bells and whistles just something reliable that wont take a dump when you up grade
processors.

Opinions PLEASE

Okay, I've never heard of VPSD, never used a Chaintech motherboard or heard anything good or bad about them. MSI isn't a fly-by-night or anything, but they aren't Abit or Asus quality. And PC Chips... heh. I think you should reconsider whether or not VIA is the problem here.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I'd also look at your power supply if you haven't been able to get any of these boards to work for you....

I don't even like Intel and these boards make me drool!
but I suppose those are a little (or a lot) bell-y and whitle-y. (yes those are word .... because I said so)
what i'd do is go here:
http://www.newegg.com/app/manu...catalog=280&DEPA=0
put in all the feature you want on the left side, and see what comes up. Hope this helps!

Well, that is a real shame, since VIA's latest offering is something that is TOTALY awesome (K8T800 PRO).
It is a lot like AMD back in the early days vs. Intel. AMD made a few spotty products that had some problems with intel x86 compatability. But since then have greatly improved and gainded acceptance as a quality product.
