I need a new camera...

My old trusty Minolta X-570 died after years of faithful service. I'm lookin for a new camera, 35mm just because I like film (and they're cheaper). Autofocus, a nice screen on the back (that tells exposure and such), all for as cheap as possible. Something a lot like the Minolta Maxxum. Any ideas? A cheap DSLR would be nice too, but that would have to be really cheap.

Go to your local camera shop or Ebay. They're GIVING away that stuff, because everybody's going digital, and trading in their old equipment. Cash in on their loss. Wanna buy a Contax 137 MD Quartz with 50mm F1.7 Zeiss lens?

What is 35mm? Is that like a re-cord. I heard my grandmother talk about this stuff... What's next a VCR?

Film isn't cheaper in the long run, depending on how many pictures you take. If you take a lot, digital will pay for itself very quickly.
