i would like to find a media player, other than wmp that plays dvd, dvds that are in iso format, dvix, xvid, rm, avi, mov and just about any other media file out there along with mp3 and aac with the ability to add plugins for ogg, etc.

free would be nice too :)

Here's a few that you can check out; dunno if they will do everything you want though.

VLC.
BS Player.
Moonlight Player.
Daemon Tools (for mounting images).

Oops, yes, i forget to mention MP Classic. That's another good one.

Oh, & if you want to play embedded Quicktime streams without Quicktime, look for Quicktime alternative. Works beautifully.

Yeah but VLC and MPC aren't really good at playing music. You might want to try out J.River Media Center. A very nice all in 1 program. Or just combine 1 music player and 1 video player. I think that's what most people do.

thanks, i guess i could just do 1 music player and 1 video player, much better than a seperate mov, avi, wmv, rm, divx, xvid player :)
