I need a little image help

Okay, I have a job application I scanned into my computer. I plan on inserting the text in there using an image editor...my question is, when I print out the application, it comes out like this (printed copy on left, origional on right). How do I get the copy filling up the whole page like the origional. Yes, I do have print full page on. Is there any way, I can completely take out the borders and distort the image to fit? Btw, I am using Photoshop 6 (but I am willing to use anything else that will work).

Well, first of all, Photoshop isn't made for that kind of editing. If you're going to do something like that, I would suggest using something like Acrobat. Whatever happened to good ol' typewriters? 🙂

I don't think you scanned the application at a large enough size... You might want to try it again, only larger...

And if you're hellbent on using Photoshop or don't have access to other software, scan it in with as little colors as possible.

Pooht: Obviously PhotoShop isn't the best software to use but if that's all you've got: change the print scale of your image in print options.

Or do what i did during those times when all i had was a word processor and no typewriter ;-) . I open up Word and start typing my info while taking into account the spacing on the application form.

I then grab a piece of scratch paper and print out the info i just put in Word. I then compare that print-out to the spacing on the application form and adjust things in Word as needed.

Print one more time to verify then print again this time using the application form.

Down-right a hassle but it works 🙂
