LuckyDragon is right on the money.

bob970 - since she's already your girlfriend, whatever you do, as long as it's sincere, she'll love :)

Just simply ask, "I'm going off to school, and I can't wait til then to ask you this - will you be my date for the upcoming homecoming this September?"

That's it... that should do it, I mean, you have nothing to be nervous about... and don't attempt to make the situation "special" in anyway buy adding material goods or something of that sort... just simply ask

Good luck

no, cuz earlier.. she said as an excuse not to go that she "had to get asked crativly".. i know deep down she wants to go and wants to stay together.. but she pretends that she doesnt.. maybe so that she doesn't get hurt i guess.

-btw, i know for sure thats how she feels cuz i talked to her best friend about it, and its kinda obvious-

im not nervous at all... im just trying to think of somethin special.. cuz i wanna do somethin special.. i was thinking of buying her a semi-nice piece of jewelry (nothin to expensive) as a going away present.. kind of to lock up the relationship when i leave

this calls for a promise ring, I think (based on your last comment). it's true, many women really do feel that a romantic gesture is more meaningful...

Give her a rose every day for 12 days, telling her you don't need a reason. Then on the 12th day ask her to the homecoming.

bob970 - your girlfriend has a weird way of showing her affection for you... I can understand that maybe if she's been hurt in the past that she would not want to be hurt again.. but she is definitely making the situation a lot more difficult than it has to be...

So now you have to be creative, eh? Send her a gift, nothing special... just something small and fun... that would start w/ each letter of her name (hope her name is 'Joy' make it easy ;)) anyways.. yeah, send her a gift that would start w/ the first letter of her first name first.. then send her another w/ the second letter, etc, etc and finally send one final give in a gift box, and have it ask, "_______ will you be my homecoming date?"

Sounds corny but it should do the trick ;)

Good Luck

Simple. Write a note that says "It would make my heart melt if you went to Homecoming with me." Then freeze it in an ice cube and give it to her. When the ice cube melts, she'll read it.

Melanie isn't that long... just be glad it's not Melanie C (one less letter to worry about, lol - okay GG you're a nerd :( )

If you like this girl, then the length of her name shouldn't matter... I also like the ice cubed letter idea by gwlam12 ;)

<< Where's Konichiwa??

Yo B|tch, Homecoming?? :)
>>

I was about to post the same thing.. But his patented saying doesn't use "Yo", it uses "Sup"..

:) :) ;)

it's a ring you give as a sign of your affection and long-term committment, but before you actually are engaged. you give it to someone who you plan to *eventually* marry. my female friends love them! i, however, prefer electronic gifts ;)

get into her house before she wakes up. leave notes around the house with clues that''ll lead her to a different note. lastly, have one note lead to the front door; when she opens it, you'l be standing outside with roses; ask her then

oh.. well im not so sure that im ready for a promise ring yet :) maybe next year! i kinda like the flowers tho.. i'd have to go with daisies cuz she likes those more.. only problem is making sure that she actually got em each day.. cuz her parents are nazis.. i'd find a way tho.. that idea is sticking
