I'd stronly suggest the Creative Lab Inspire 5700's -- you won't be disappointed -- they are one of the best speakers if you are interesting in getting the best of all 3 worlds -- gaming, music and DVD.. I have the Cambridge Soundworks DTT3500's, something that the Inspire 5700's are eventually replacing and they are just AWESOME.. I also have the SB Audigy, so no worries there either..

one of my friends has a set of Creative DTT3500's.......... they sound friggin' awesome. I'm not quite sure what sound card he is using, but i dont think it's up there with the Augidy, so you can imagine how sweet they'll sound with one.

Last I heard, the only way Audigy could output digitally (asside from the external box that comes with the Platinum) with true 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS was through their proprietary DIN, which is only available on sound systems made by Creative (Cambridge). If I'm wrong and the coaxial digital works fine with DTS and 5.1 DD, then go for the Klipsch ProMedia 5.1. They're expensive, but they are well worth it.

If he has a Live 5.1 sound card then it'll work just as well.. However, the audigy gives you enhanced EAX (will surely find it's way into new games) and a firewire port.. For the difference in price, I'd go Audigy over the Live 5.1 series..

Have you heard a DVD like Private Ryan using the DTT3500's..? Oh man, talk about FEAR.. LOL! :)

Yah.. The bullets flying across my speakers, especially at the start of the movie had me duckin' for cover.. I'm sure the Promedia 5.1's are good, but they are expensive.. What's nice about the DTT3500's and Inspire 5700's is that they work very nicely with the Live 5.1 and Audigy.. The connectivity options are amazing, the external decoder is awesome -- I want to listen to music, I setup my speakers for music at the push of a button on the decoder, etc.. What's nice about the Inspire 5700's is that they do DTS also, besides DD 5.1.. I don't know one person that has upgraded to the DTT3500's (Inspire 5700's at this point) based on my suggestion that has called me a "fool".. :)

For the guy that asked the original question, here's a link you might be interested in checking out.. It'll be VERY helpful if you are looking for information on speakers and sound cards..

The guy is looking for Digital speakers, so why are you guys suggesting the non digital Klipsch Promdeia 5.1 speaker system? Sure they sound awsome, but they do not have digital out.

Digital speakers are overrated. Go ask anyone at 3Dss.com. Get a good soundcard and good speakers. With that said, the BA790s are good yet inexpensive digital 2.1 system (~$60).

Digital speakers may be over rated but I've heard a set of Digital Altec Lansings on a Live! 5.1 card and the quality difference was definantly noticeable . Who makes the BA790's?, I'm not looking to spend 400, thats just insane. I'm thinking maybe 130 to 200, so far I still feel unsure of what to get from what you guys have recomended. How much are the DTT3500's?, thanks guys.

limsandy, are you running those Z560's on the digital out-put of an Audigy or what?. Those seem like a good deal, the BA790's are a little to cheap for my taste, thanks though GTaudiophile.

if you want 4.1 digital speakers, get them Altec Lansing ADA 890 speakers. I have them and the bass on it is unbeleivable.
