... setting up a layout of the computer network here at work. Like A box or something that defines the server and each unit connected to the server and all that.

I dont have a clue what to look for.
 
I think the best program for doing anything with network mapping or diagramming etc would have to be Wisio 2000 Technical. It is quite pricey though 🙂 I think you could do it quite easily with the Standard version however.
 
I've done it before with power point. Insert a picture for the server and a picture for your client then just connect it with a line or arrow. Thats it.
 
There's a lot of stuff from Computer Associates that can do this, see if you can get a trial edition of somthing like UnicenterTNG.
