Any suggestions?

I won't be printing out photos. Just documentation, websites, and some programming code.

A laserprinter that supports postscript in hardware (I'm pretty sure most of the HP Laserjet's do this) is the easiet thing to get running in Linux. You'll get no color that way though. If you want to go the Inkjet route then any of HP's Deskjet's are good (lots of built in drivers and HP even has out their own drivers if you can get those to work).

Printing out source on either of these isn't going to be cheap though. You might want to look into a dot matrix line printer for printing source if you're going to be doing it a lot (ink is a lot cheaper for these).

I would definitely want color. That way I could take advantage of gvim's and KDevelop's color coding schemes. I won't be printing everyday so I'm not so much worried about ink cost. Although it is priced way too high. Thanks.

I'm using HP Photosmart 1215 (color inkjet) with Linux RedHat 7.2 and it works perfectly.

Also, HP Photosmart can be connected either via USB or parallel port. Mine is connected via USB.
