The Thermalright SLK series comes very highly recommended. I got the SLK 800-A for my XP1700+ and paired it with a Panaflo L1A. Very quiet and effective.

These ^ are probably the best atm. If you want to save some money ('cause those are quite expensive though) you can stick with a AX-7. I've seen it for ~$15 in the USA (my was ordered from USA) and that is a pretty good heatsink for little money. It's also good with low noise fans.

I have an Alpha 8045 w/ a vantec stealth and my o/c 1700+ (@ 2250Mhz) runs at 50C under load. So that seems pretty good to me.
