Holy overthinking-the-whole-playing-people-on-the-internet-thing batman!

Not overthinking, that's just how I feel about it. I need motivation to play the game. Beating other people is not motivation for me.

Some people would rather play games against a computer trying to simulate a real person, and some people would rather play a real person.

*shrug*

I think i'd rather play a computer than a 12 year old who is supposed to be doing his long division homework.

I don't play for the opponent, the AI can be absolute and total crap. So long as it's got a good story behind it and it doesn't get in the way, I'm fine.

Ok, ok, I'm being a jerk. I see what you're saying. I believe there is more to playing the people on the internet than just being better or worse than somebody.

Silent Hunter III.

Though if you don't have the attention span for halflife you might as well not bother.

I guess I'm late.
Somebody else already mentioned Act Of War.
Great Game. Its what C&C Generals should have been.

If you havent done Warhammer 40K yet, you should start.

Nexus: The Jupiter Incident is also a nice change of pace.

AOE III and FEAR aren't out yet.

Morrowind + Expansions. You can get the GotY version (which has all 3) for $20 from Best Buy, Target, or wherever you get your games.

Done Warhammer. Just burnt it out yesterday, actually.

So what about Second Sight? It's got a pretty decent storyline, although it is a bit short.

I think it's time you stop playing games and go out and play some sports or something. :)

Did it, loved it, but it decided to become a buggy POS and start crashing every time I tried to launch it.

Holy crap, were the load times inbetween levels in that atrocious. They turned me off the game altogether after a few hours. The gameplay was decent. I might try it again now that I've upped my RAM.
