I need a free Research Database

Okok, I'll admit it, its no ones fault but mine that I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I need a free research database, because I can't get my college's database access to work right, and they don't have tech support on the weekends. If anyone knows of any good free research database other than ERIC (which I already scoured), I would be very apreciative.
