I need a Flash website - anyone here who can do it?

I'm helping a friend get started with his photography business and he needs a website. The one at this site is similar to what he wants.

Anyone here who has experience with doing sites like that and is interested? Has to be quality work.

Drop me a PM.

I would suggest designing the site without flash, but possibly using flash to complement it. Otherwise you're hurting search engine ranking and making it annoying for some visitors who don't have the plugin or are on very slow dialup.

Re: Usability

I'd agree if this were a site selling computer software or such, but I personally don't see anything wrong with a Flash-driven portfolio. Better yet, offer an alternative: have a barebones HTML site that dialup users can choose instead.

I don't know how to find a template like that.

Edit - Although a flash site does look nice if implemented properly, it's not a good idea to use one when the client (the photographer) does not know how to update it himself. Photography is one of those fields where they want to show different samples often and if he needs to seek someone elses assistance everytime he wants to change an image it won't be very practical.

If the flash programmer is any good, he would be able to write code to allow the photographer to update his flash portfolio externally. For example, a gallery in the flash file could draw it's images from an external source like an image folder and the photographer would have the freedom to alter what's shown in the gallery. Same with text with txt files and other media. What can't be changed is the functionality of the flash itself like it's menus, accessability, etc.

Even the menu's can be changed if you want to do it that way, but what you're going after is almost a custom cms solution. It will cost a pretty penny, which isn't something I'd expect someone to pay for when getting their first site made.

I thought it would be possible to design something like the site in the OP where the site owner could upload new pictures occasionally and it would incorporate them into the gallery.

All that's needed is the front page, the gallery thing and a Contact Me page. Doesn't have to have all the fancy stuff like a shopping cart, etc.
