Hi-- my previous mic was the very basic logitech analog desktop mic and it really really sucked, there was always background noise and no one could hear me well.

However I hear that the USB mic is very good. Anyone else have a recommendation (such as a USB lapel mic? or another desktop mic?)I would get the sennhauser 150's but I already have sony mdr-v700 for headphones, want to be as efficient as possible.

tks!

My experience is that desktop microphones don't work well at all for picking up your voice. They either have too little gain or get far too much ambient noise.
The best thing for picking up your voice cleanly is a headset mic. Even if I'm not using my headphones I'll use the mic on them just because it works so well.

eh, just bought the pc150 for $38 after a $4 handling fee and $2.50 tax, free ship. i think its the better choice all around, just hope there is no damned INTERFERENCE with the SB live inputs.
