There was a tread a couple of months ago but I can?t find it. There were some for under $70. The HD is OK but the mbd & pwr is junk.

edit for info

MB MSI K8NGM2-FID GF6150 939
XP PRO
AMD Athlon 64 cpu
ATI Radeon 9200 SE - 128 MB - Graphics adapter - AGP 8x
Linksys wireless-G PCI adapter
PSU ANTEC|BP-350B 350W power supply and case.
1 stick MEM 512Mx2|CORSAIR D400 VS1GBKIT400

The places that were mentioned were reputable e-stores. I don?t like fleabay or Craig?s list.

Me either. But the deals you are refuring to where out dated bare bones kits that where on clearence. They would still require another $100 or so of hardware to get up and running.

I'm guessing your looking at something like this.

Problem is its a very low end system. You will still need drives and an OS for it. Because of its low end stats it will not be able to hande Vista so you would need to have an existing copy of XP. But if you add another 1Gb of RAM, better video card, and a new PSU then it could run Vista.

Like i said these kits still need about $100 or more to get it up and running.

I'm with you but I have everything but the MSI K8NGM2 mbd. I can't find one for cheap so I thought some bargains might be still around.

I do have everything else so that might work. Tx

So you're really just looking for a motherboard?

It might help to edit your OP with more details of what parts you have and what you need.
