"I named him after his daddy." "He got a daddy named Forrest too?"

Now I know that Forrest wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but why the hell did he keep pursuing Jenny and lettin' her creep back into his life.

The only time she wanted to be with him is when she found out that she was gonna croak.

Realizing that she was going to die made her want to settle down; Forrest was good to her.

Eli is right. She needed stability and constancy in her last days.

Poor Forrest. 🙁 :brokenheart:

So basically after giving him the run around all his life, Jenny's final gift to Forrest was for him to be her caregiver in her final days?

Women! 😉

The ultimate love story, no matter what, Forrest was always waiting and willing to love her no matter what.

Yep. She was a free spirit, it took facing her own mortality to bring her back down to reality.

:Q 😀 In all honesty it wasn't the gender it was the times. The 60s were wild days.

Indeed--but such a story would never happen in real life.

What a great movie...seeing it on TV the other day reminded me of how much I enjoyed it when I first saw it as a kid and how much I still love it now.

Yeah, Forrest had true and unbreakable love for Jenny. And Jenny had deep down Love for Forrest, but it took her a while to fully realize it.

Maybe I'll watch the movie tonight. Its definitely a movie that brings a tear to my eye.

Yeah, I always get a bit misty when he's talking to her after she dies 🙁

Like how Jenny used him all the way along. Used him as a sperm bank....when she needed a convenient last resort when nothing else was going right. Just used the poor guy.

He only marries her in the movie, not in the book, plus the movie makes it seem that he is a complete idiot, he isn't a complete idiot in the book.
