I moved my computer from one room to another. When I plugged everything back in (pretty sure it's all in the correct place)I lost my sound. Tried moving the plugs to other possible locations still nothing. Looked in the control nothing is muted, everything seems to be running fine...just no sound.

I have an AMD 900 tbird 256 Mem. SBLive mp3+ sound card
ATI all in wonder vid card and a MSI motherboard (KT133A)

My speakers are attached to my monitor (Compaq). I had them plugged into the motherboard, I can't remember why I never had it plugged into the sound card. Anyway I have no sound when the speakers are plugged into the motherboard and I get tons of feedback (but I can hear music) when it's plugged into my sound card. Help???

i have about six jacks on the sound card. Five of them( no color) produce no sound the other one is YELLOW - provides sound but alot of feedback noise.

My mother board has three jacks, red, green and I think blue. Once again I tried all combos and no sound at all.

My speakers have two connectors red and green. I believe the red is for microphone??

The ones that came with my COMPAQ monitor. They attach to the sides of the monitor.

I wrote speaker connectors but I meant plugs. The plugs are red and green - what jacks should I put them in?

IIRC one speaker should have two cables. One that plugs into the other speaker and one that runs to the sound card. The plug you should use on the sound card is the second one from the game port (IIRC). So just plug it into that second port and then try different combos on the speakers.
