Roger had his account deleted, and along with it went all of his posts. The only remains are quotes.

Everyone IMO has a place where they like to hang out and enjoy themselves brigden, when an a$$hat makes that place no longer enjoyable he/she leaves. Be it "on-line or in real life," when a person that other people value no longer "visits," something good is lost and that is why I am 🙁
 
Roger did not leave because of Alkemyst or Munchies. I'm sure that helped make the decision easier for him, but that was not the reason he left. Someone signed up his nephew and him for gay porn spam.
 
Roger was great. Even though he left, I don't understand why he had all his posts nuked. Some of them were great references.

Which is one of the reasons that Mods are not linked to a specific account. I happen to disagree with this, but hey, I am nobody.

Not only all his posts, but all the PM's I had from him.

It pisses me off that I lost my PM's from him, they had his E-mail in them so I could stay in touch after he left but I forgot to put it in outlook and now I have no way to give him a shout.

Well that IS atrocious, but couldn't he just not display his email in his profile & achieve same as removing account?

That's the impression I got. He was very helpful, but for the last maybe year or so, had changed quite a bit, from what I noticed.
He was quite knowledgable about car repair, but didn't know it all, and I think he started taking his "revered" status here a bit too seriously.
When someone disagreed with him, he would get mad and start getting nasty and throwing insults pretty quickly, especially near the end of his time here.
Overall, he did a lot more good than bad, for sure.

Funny thing about the porn spam thing, that happened to me about a year ago, and I know someone from here did it.
Resulted from a car thread, too, ironically.
