I just found out that one of my best friends died. He was supposed to be moving back to Portland a couple weeks ago and I hadn't heard from him in over a month. I was starting to get worried, so I started looking online and his IMDB page said that he died on 11 December, the day after I last talked with him.

I feel like my heart is breaking. We'd been close friends for 23 years.

I found a couple obits, but it didn't say anything other than that he "died unexpectedly". I'm going to have to figure out how to contact his parents. I haven't had contact with them for many, many years. I'm guessing nobody knew how to contact me, perhaps his computer was password protected or something.

Only 39 y/o. So you've known this guy since he was 16? Wow. I hope you can contact his parents. I am sure they'd like to hear from a such a longtime friend of his.
