I might die on Saturday

Hot air balloon ride Saturday morning. Very much nervous about dying. The whole falling to my death thing really doesn't sit well with me.

Anyone done this before? What should I expect?

Ignore these guys, OP.

Only 12% of hot air balloon rides end in tragedy. You are almost guaranteed to make it home safe.

No worries. If you run into high voltage transmission lines, or there's an explosion from the gas tanks, you'll be dead before you hit the ground.

always expect that worse, that way you'll always be pleasantly surprised for the rest of your life

even if 'the rest of your life' only runs through Saturday

You'll be fine. Just start running as you fall, that way you'll zip away when you land, from the basket engulfed in flames of the air ballon - and the charred corpses of your loved one - to safety.

I don't think people often die from hot air balloons. Short of a fire and catastrophic explosion of the fuel tanks the worst thing that can happen is drifting slowly down to a location you hadn't intended to land at.
