Hey everyone. There is a problem with our DSL right now that causes real flaky connection. I was told there is something with the connection box. Phone company have been and will be slow and I most likely will be off the forums for a week or two from tomorrow. 🙁

I will see you guys when the phone line is fixed.

yeah, you must have a modem laying around somewhere........or someone you know does. Then you can use it for the singular reason of checking AT. 🙂

Actually I'm empathising.. the tech in me hates to see computer related stuff that isn't working well no matter who it belongs to.

ARGHHHHH don't remind me! I had a nasty unsettleness when there was a problem with DSL a different time. It was ISP's fault so I got free dialup, but right now it will be ten free hours a month, which I'll need to use wisely for alot of research project I have to do. Over ten hours, it's like $1.50 or $1.00 an hour. My parents will kick my ass when they get a $300 phone bill, therefore I better avoid ATOT.

AnandTech have had interfered with my usual tasks on regular basis. I'd get procrastinative, tired, stressed out or bored of something I'm supposed to be doing, then turns myself over to ATOT. On an average day I spend about two to three hours a day here when I'm not out with friends. It's sad.

thank god... The connection is still alive.. The time the line will go pssstphuzzz is really approaching though. It can go out anytime.
 
Good luck...lot of dsl headache's around here (SF) as well. Not going to get it till they hammer out all the prob's.Everybody I know who has dsl has a dialup backup.

now don't be mean Maul, I've had ISP issues and it's a major PITA ,heck I go on rants when I can't receive my email instantly
I can't imagine not being able to connect at all and dialup access is like the stuff nitemares are made of 🙂
