I met Wayne LaPierre at the gun show today.

I just happened to be in the area and saw that there was a gun show.

The reason I met him is that I didnt have cash to buy tickets and the NRA always has a booth set up where you get free admission if you sign up or renew membership (they take credit cards), I found one admission ticket on the ground and renewed my membership for $30.00 to get another ticket for my son, and got the traditional free NRA hat.

So we were wandering around, I was wearing the hat for the hell of it, and he walks up to me and introduces himself and hands me his card, and thanks me for joining the NRA, we made small talk for a minute then he went on his way.

I was a member for one year back in the early 90s. Total waste of money IMO and not worth all the bullshit propaganda they send you in the mail.

I got the free membership & then got flooded with snail and email. That alone made me decide not to re-up.

I love a good cookie, but this is not a good cookie 🙁

you can see that while it is undercooked in the center, it is almost properly browned on the edges, that combined with the appearance of the chocolate chips indicate that this cookie was baked at too high a temperature for too short a time, they did well with the quantity and distribution of the chips though.

This is why I dropped my ACLU membership. They spent far more money sending me crap begging for more money than I ever sent them. I wanted them to spend the money on defending civil liberties, not on panhandling. They still send me crap fifteen years later.

Lots of stuff I cant afford, still, it is fun to see some of the crazy stuff people bring.

there was a "Black Gun" I dont know the name of, it had the standard barrel as wel as a shotgun and a grenade launcher all in one, with a bunch of other mods, was 26k

saw a table piled high with $99 nagants which was very tempting.
