Ah man, I made such a dumb mistake! When I filled out my FAFSA form for college aid, I accidently typedi n my first name in the last name box and my last name in the first name box. You think this will effect the time it takes to process the application?

<< you sir are an idiot

<<

Not really, considering that the CSS/ profile asked fo rmy last name first rather than my first and the fact that I filled teh forms at around 3 AM. Anyone with a useful contribution?

That WAS a useful contribution.

Seriously, though. You will have to fill out a correction form when the Fafsa people tell you that you are an idiot.

OK, I admit I am an idiot, but I do not need 3 different peopel telling me so. Saying I am an idiot as not as useful as you think...

Gibson486, it's alright.

They usually request your social security number, so if they do their job of checking your information, they should have obtained your correct identification through your social security.

Also, they normally resend the information for verification purposes; and they would highlight things that were filled in incorrectly along with a suggested correct data.

At the end, it shouldn't take much longer, unless of course their efficiency is lacking. 🙂

Be cautious next time! 😉
