I may have torn my calf muscle. :-(

I was playing in the finals of a local rugby tournament last sunday. I tackled the opposing player and someone stood on my calf. I went to the hospital immediately and have had two MRIs done since then. I meet with my doctor next Monday to get the results.

I hope I don't need surgery...

ouch that has happned to me when i was playing basketball...i was up in the air and i heard this SNAP/POP and fell the ground withering in agony and pain. I would say a bruised sternum injury was the worst for me tho

It was in the sports news a couple of months ago... I think it was an English fop (go figure), who got caught trying to give some guy a colo-rectomy... the guy complained to the ref... who apparently found "evidence", on the offending digit... it didn't say what type, and I didn't ask...

and yes, for the record I play football (soccer for you "special" people... )

Sort of. There is a bulge in the bottom of the calf and there is a lot of bruising that seems to start from the bulge and spread out from there.

Hard to say. I really didn't see him. I thought it was just a charlie horse at first. Boy was I wrong.

It turns out that it was just a deep muscle bruise with a couple of popped blood vessels. No surgery required!

just be glad you're not the dude at the ice rink a while ago, he fell and someone tripped over his stick, and kicked him in the neck with their skate. it was nasty.
