:Q

I managed to score 6 PC's mostly complete that are about 6 or so years old.

Here is a quick breakdown:

2 Intel 810 systems with Celeron cpu's
2 Abit BE6 (i think) with what appears to be Slot 1 celerons
1 Abit BP6 with dual cpu's. Not sure whether they are celeron or not.
1 MSI MS-6198 with a 366 celeron.

each come with hdd, video, nics and PSUs.

Some, but not all, come with ram.

All were in working order when retired. I got them from an imaging/photogaphy store.

I am now considering what to do with them, but some will be given to a couple of ATOT members.

:D

I found 3 IBM computers in the dumpster a while back. All three were pentium 3s, one 1GHz, one 733Mhz, and the other 450Mhz. Not bad for free. :p I tried craigslist with not luck. I'll probably ebay or something.

I don't have room for that much stuff.

What I found is just enough for now. I might be getting more later on.

LONE? We buy the stuff by the skid. Not sure how that one got there, though. If you look in the background, you can see a shelving unit with monitors on it LINED with the damn things.

EyeMWing, I'll pay shipping for that Xeon? Lol.

We have internal dibs on the Xeons, as servers.

What about the dual Pentium 3s and the P4?

Those dual p3's are very quirky systems (The BIOS is a complete hash) - we have them earmarked as test systems (and a few of the more stable ones as servers). The P4's are completely off limits, because they're our primary offering, and they came from a donor/partner (a certain national motorcycle company) who likes to hear back from us about what we did with their machines. Unless, of course, you're a non-profit organization with a 501(c)(3), and would like to request some stuff.

And then you can ask for whatever the hell you want, just pay shipping.

If you have some non-profit organization letterhead, and a 501(c)(3) for that organization, it's a very simple process. Send us a letter asking for sh!t with a few details on it, a copy of the first page of the 501(c)(3) or equivalent document, and then either come get it, or pay shipping.

In the past, we've done such ridiculous arrangements as having computers transported via helicopter to some ridiculous, remote indian reservation (I'm not sure HOW they intended to use those computers, I mean, if they're accessible only by helicopter, wouldn't electricity be a bit hard?)

Do the 810 boards support 133 FSB? cause if so, I'd take 'em.

Alternatively, if you're some kind of fetishist, you can pay us by the pound for a class of scrap material. Naturally, untested, and likely damaged by being removed from it's host system through the use of the very wrong tool.

Prettymuch the only thing you wouldn't be competing with any other buyers on at the moment (i.e. the only thing we don't have a buyer for) are flash memory and EPROM chips (BIOS, etc.). Or LEDs and pushbuttons . We have lots of LEDs and pushbuttons, and those prettymuch just go into the trash.
