I made BREAD

Why I decided to start at 10:30 PM... good question. It was done at 1:30 and now there's nobody awake to enjoy it. Drat.

It's wheat.

Did you use yeast? I mixed some with sugar and waited for foaming, but nothing happened. Can yeast die?

Yes, I used Fliechmann Bread Machine yeast. I keep it in the refridgerator. Yes, yeast can die. It's a biologial organism, the waste products of which are CO2 and some others. This makes the bubbles in our bread, and why it takes so long for bread to 'rise'- they're taking all that time to poop out the CO2. So, next time you bite into some delicious bread, think about all that trapped gas inthe bread being the waste product of living things.

The bread is still warm, thanks to the large amounts of towels and a clothing that I piled on top of it. Stay tuned!
