I love these trick pictures

They actually look the same color to me.

The Rubix one looks really different to me, but it's not the exact same color actually (but almost, way more similar than it looks).
Use photoshop or some other software to cut out those two pieces - they're the same color.

I copied into paint and used the "color picker" tool, the values differed. I'll replicate it, just a sec.

edit: Yeah, they're slightly different.

I'd smash either.

It does not work for me.

I tried it again focusing on the yellow dot for 20 seconds.
Yet when i look at the right white field, that is all that i see. :'(

I can see Gina appear on the white side for a second.

Doesn't help to stare at it for any longer than a second or two for me though.

I'm confused by the last one, maybe it's because I have a CRT with better color reproduction. Because even with my finger on the middle, the bottom box clearly looks a lighter shade of gray. It's a lot less noticeable than without the finger, but it still doesn't look the same color.

Is this something that looks exactly the same on LCD's? I don't have an LCD to test so I really have no idea. Also is the very 1st one an LCD thing too? because even after 10 tries I'll be damned if I'm seeing anything in the 2nd box 🙁
What the hell are you doing with a CRT still?

I do not see anything beside my hand , no change or image ?
What is supposed to happen ? 🙁

These illusions work because of our imperfect brains. Essentially because your brain is broken. If they don't work, your brain is even more broken.

In all seriousness, when you blink you should see the inverse, or color correct image. You probably forgot to blink. DOH

I actually did this 😀 They're the same.
Fine, but I don't have photoshop and I used paint. Use paint and the color picker... they're not the exact same color actually. (I could even see a slight difference moving pixels and then hitting Ctrl + Z.)

You must stare at the pattern for at least 20 sec or so, directly at the center, when you quickly look at the back of your hand the skin will appear to be "crawling", it's from your eyes and brain being tricked by the moving pattern. Perhaps your taking a medication that is hampering the effect, IDK..

That seems to work. Thank you.
When i blink fast enough, i see the vague contours of what appears a womans face. But very blurry. No detail at all. At least i seem to notice black hair and what appears a healthy a bit suntanned skin color.

I did do that, but my skin was although it is heavily textured, not moving at all. I am not on medication. I do seem to be enhanced in some ways visually but i also do lack some automated "prejudiced" learned way of looking, other people seem to possess.

YAY !

Now i know. When i watch focused at the picture, nothing happens not even while blinking. When i look at the picture without actively looking at it, my gaze is just upon the yellow dot but i am not extracting visual information, i see a crystal clear picture of an attractive young woman for a fraction of a second the first time i blink. After that it is gone.

YAY !
Now that i have mastered it, i do not even have to blink anymore.
I just switch rapidly from left to right and right to left when looking at the picture. And then i can see the picture on the white field all the time for a fraction of a second every time i switch from left to right.

Do you guys experience the same effects ?
Or am i as usual, awkward ?

EDIT:
It works when looking at any background that is lighter than the inverted picture i have noticed.
Even when looking only for a second or two.

Subliminal messages FTW !

Interesting for to hide pictures in websites...

I thought the one in the OP wasn't working for me so I scrolled down... and then there was a floating head of some woman tracking with my vision throughout the page. Ahhhhh!

What the hell are you doing with a CRT still?

vastly superior IQ, pure blacks, better overall color reproduction. I'm not locked into 1 resolution to get the best looking picture. Desk space and power usage are the last 2 things on my "what I care about in a monitor" list. I have a 22" CRT I just had serviced a few months ago at an old school TV repair shop. It looks about as good as new, and more importantly it looks better than any LCD by a long shot. LCD has zero benefits to me and I won't ever be buying one. My next purchase will be one of the uber24" Sony wide screen CRT's. I'd have one now, but they tend to go for $1,000+ on Ebay since they're rare and still highly sought after by the IQ lovers. $1,200 for a monitor's too rich for my blood, but I'm hoping one day I see one in the $700 range
