I was browsing Snag A Name and saw that couponsearch.net recently expired, thinking great someone probably already snagged it.

So I went to NameCheap.com to check it's availability and it was AVAILABLE!!!

I click add to cart, express checkout and 30 seconds later I am the proud owner of couponsearch.net

I go in to update the DNS name servers to ns1.hostingmyway.com and ns2.hostingmyway.com it's already done! I think there's a global preference I must have set to have all new domains automatically use my name servers.

Now I just have to get some HTML up and start listing every coupon code on the face of the planet :p

Best of all most of my NameCheap.com domains propogate within 12 hours.

If only NameCheap.com was ICANN accredited it would be perfect!

Hey wait...no IC@NN Accreditation means no UDRP agreement, right?
Hmmm....

20+

5 of those I have recently sold for around $50 each so I'm down to around 15 now.

What are the benefits with registering a domain with an ICANN accredited company?

is namecheap better than godaddy? They seem to be the same price and godaddy is ICAAN certified. Whatever that means.

I'm not sure, I think it matters most when it comes to disputes or if your domain registrar goes out of business.

What do you like better about GoDaddy?

I might get an eNom domain resellers account or switch to GoDaddy one day.

Well if GoDaddy is ICAAN accredited, that would be reason enough if the price was the same. Not that it makes much difference I guess.

is there a command that you can type in the command prompt that displays the owner of a specified domain? In other words, a command that provides the same info as WHOIS

No point in even trying, they own a copyright to the name, and more than likely will send lawyers your way to get it back. And they WILL get it back.

yea, that's pretty much what it's about. but i don't see namecheap.com going out of business anytime soon with your business. i wouldn't be worried about if you have a namecheap.com domain or plan to register one. just remember, rossman uses them.;)
