What's not to love? I got a 100% performance boost, less power draw, is much cooler than my old 4850 and in turn makes my computer much quieter.

It's the Asus DirectCU so the heat is exhausted into the case but I haven't had any problems with that yet, and the card itself looks pretty sleek, no silly stickers.

Update:

:D

On the downside I'm a bit of a jerk because I dumped the ex after she gave me everything for 2 years, but I wasn't happy with our relationship anymore and couldn't lie about it.

On the upside, this chick is much less hotter than my ex, so perhaps I've settled down and I've found true love at last

Barfo, I wholeheartedly suggest you take a step back from the situation. you may not feel this way after the "infatuation stage" is over. also, you know how 6850's dont like it when their users are "clingy".

An emphasis on performance rather than glamor with low upkeep costs? Sounds like my type of video card! :D

However, I know the exhaust thing doesn't seem like a big deal right now, but little things like that become a big deal over time if you don't put in the daily work to keep your relationship in good condition (ya know, like cleaning out the dust)... and sure, the performance seems awesome now, but once the honeymoon phase is over, it's going to start feeling less and less powerful all the time. Are you still going to feel this way when it's getting 12 FPS on Modern Warfare 4? I hate to be a downer, but I'm betting you'll have moved on to a new model in a couple years.

Oh yeah... pics? :p

Sure, the relationship seems great now, but is this someone you'll be in love with a few years from now? It seems that both your past (4850) and current relationships (6850) are doomed to be short term!

Sure you might be able to make things last a little longer by spicing things up and adding another 6850 to the mix at the same time; but this will just prolong the inevitable breakup.

I'm not going to give any further advice simply because I get the feeling you're doomed to be on this dating path for the rest of your life.

This thread is great. Barfo, you upgraded on the same path that I'm thinking about and seem to have no regrets. I take it the 4850 didn't get any alimony?

I also was looking at a 6850, moving from a 4850....maybe we should go grab a beer at the local VFW
