I never thought a mouse could improve my computing experience so much. I was using an old ball mouse before, and I can tell you, it's like night and day. Of course, it was free (yay for Christmas), so there wasn't the pang of pain in my wallet, but still. Mmm mmm.
 
I got the razer viper for christmas along with an icemat and its a huge difference from my old MS Explorer 3.0 and balding ratpadz.
 
I use the $12 Logitech optical. Two buttons and a scroll wheel is all I really need.

Actually, come to think of it, I did pay about $25 for my mini laptop optical, but that doesn't really count.

Nope, same here.
I actually have 2 MX500's and 1 MX510, along with some other stuff, I get it from a friend who works at Logitech.
When it's time for some FPS gaming I still break out the old ball mouse though.

Maybe some day I'll spend some money on a Boomslang.
