I love my new Dell 20" widescreen LCD!

I have the 24" at home, but I just got this one for work today. I like this one better....

for some reason, it just seems like a better monitor...don't get me wrong, I would take your head off if you try to touch my 24 incher, but I love my new 2005FP as well.

It's great for work, because now I have so much more screen real estate to work on my visio network diagrams. Those of you that maange your own IT department knows how much screen res. visio eats up.

I give this monitor :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

i like the 2005 but so far havent had a real use for it yet, maybe when i have to start writing papers which require my assignment to be right there also then i will find it useful

Yup, I got mine yesterday. It's so pretty. I still can't believe my super old Geforce3 Ti200 can still run in DVI 1680x1050 despite the specs and Dell saying it can't.

I brought mine home last night and was surprised that my old AIW8500 was able to handle HL2 in 1680x1050. I love mine as well, no bleeding or stuck pixels. 🙂

......man..... I'll pull the trigger one day... one day. At least I know there will always be sales for both the 2005 and 2405 so sometime around October I'll get one of them as a birthday gift to myself (..and hopefully they'll be even cheaper then!).

but you like it over a 2405? or you mean some other 24in?

2405FPW = Samsung PVA panel

2005FPW = LG S-IPS panel

Count me in the club of people who like the 2005FPW better than the 2405FPW. It's better in every regard, except the obvious size and resolution bit.

I wish Dell used an LG S-IPS panel on their larger LCD as well. HP and Apple use LG panels for their 23" widescreen displays.

Even the Anandtech review of the HP 23" LCD admits that the S-IPS panel is better than the Samsung PVA panel in the 2405FPW.
