Nice pic.. corner sharpness is a bit low for my standards though 😛
But then again, I use a DSLR with one of the best 50mm F/1.4 lenses ever made. So my standards may be a bit high. 😛
BTW, just about any compact digital camera(not just Canon's, contrary to what fanboys here think) can fit into your pocket, take videos, and take awesome pics. But congrats anyways 🙂

I'd personally stick with Canon or Nikon. I'd never buy anything else.

Your loss for being ignorant.
Fuji F11 owns just about any P&S made.
Pentax primes are generally considered to be up there near the level of Zeiss.

Btw, I'd take the Panny FX01 over the Canon simply b/c it has a 28mm lens (invaluable) and still has a best in class OIS in the P&S category.

i agree that the DSLR picture quality is vastly superior to anything the sd700 is able to create. i would sure hope so. i've been looking at sony/canon/panasonic/fuji P&S cameras and i still think that canon's colors and image quality on the whole are better for my taste (i know not many will agree). i do agree that the $500 price tag is a bit steep though.

i think it's worth it though. i'll let you know if it really is once i get mine in 🙂.
