He doesn't smoke the Viper. They're really about even, with the Hayabusa being slightly faster. Both insanely fast vehicles. Just always remember, a little swipe of the wheel and the hayabusa's no longer to your right. 😛

one of the last runs on that video the hayabusa took off on the viper. Looked kind of like when someone is passing you on the freeway going a good 30 mph faster than you.

edit: here's the link

And this is totally of the subject, but really freakin funny. HSN has another foul up with demonstrating a product... Text

In case any of you are wondering, i found this at www.chiefmarley.com. He's got a bunch of vids at this link.

My tire for my 1100 Shadow was $259 retail. Got it for just under $200 though. Most larger name brand tires are expensive.

🙂

That's like saying, "My Corrolla is better than your Ferrari because the tires are cheaper".

should change back to hayabusa rider... winston smith is nice, but being the everyman from 1984 gets played out.

They're sssoo much fun though. I still get an adrenaline rush everytime I'm about to go out and I'm putting my gear on. Rode in the rain for the first time tonight...

Hehe, maybe one day I will. 😀

And FelixDeKat, maybe I should have said I don't patch a tire, and no one I know who has a Hayabusa which produces something like 160 hp at the rear wheel does either. In the very good link you provided, there were sufficient caveats to not change my mind. If you want to do it on your bike good luck, and I hope you don't need it.

eh, that may be kind of expensive for one tire, but to replace both of yours its still under $400. I went to pick up my little sister from her friends house when I was about 16, and they had put a broken mirror halfway on the driveway half in the grass, it was something that if you knew to look for it you could avoid it but nope I ran right over it, went to take my car the next day, both back tires were low, decided to replace all 4 for even wear $745.xx later I had a full set of tires.

/edit oh yeah forgot the rest of the story, that whole ordeal to change 4 tires took about 2 weeks, meaning 2 weeks of riding around with the parents, and at 16 thats murder heh. I took it to the tire place which was the only place in town that had V rated tires, I drop it off, they say it will be ready the next day, next day at like 5pm I go over to see whats up, they didn't know they were supposed to work on my car wtf? so I tell them to put tires on it, which they said they could do the next day, next day I get a call about 4pm oh yeah we don't have those tires we have to order them. Fine order them just do it quickly, I come back 2 days later when they say its done, pay for my tires drive home, only to find that after I specifically told them V rated tires which they charged me for, they had put on 2 H's and 2 V's. I go back and at first they were like we didn't do that, so I make a huge scene call my dad down there he flips the F' out that they were trying to take me for a ride, every one in the waiting lounge was like wtf? Tell the guy we want a discount and him to fix it now, so he does, and we got ~100 off I forget exactly how much.

And that's on an $18,000 car 🙁

Dude, try discount tire. If you want to stay stock I understand, but I always go HR as opposed to factory VRs for the value.

Why would you put anything other than Zs on such a fun little car?

Umm because Z's are rated for 187+ and no way in hell that car is going anywhere near that speed. V's are 149 which manufacture spec calls for my car, I put them on only because I do a lot of road traveling now, H's are good to 130.

and 30-45 seconds later after your car stops rolling over from jerking the wheel at 200MPH hopefully someone will call an ambulance to remove your remains.

Haven't you moved out of Quincy yet??

And the new digs are where??

Minor work??...still can't do you own oil change?😉

Yeah but I bet you aren't replacing them every 4-5000 miles either are ya?

Just a little different.

well you are not expected to pay $160/each to the dealer for those tires anyway. You can get way better tires for a fraction of hte cost.

Isn't it the fastest commercial bike ever made?

I understand the bike manufacturers have an agreement to not make products that run over 186 mph, since the trend was to push marketing of having the fastest bike, with the young kids suffering from subsequent death due to inexperience.......

It's all a matter of time 😀

Brake change and oil. No biggie.

The relocation to NY isn't complete, so I'll be around a month or so 😀

I was watching discovery the other night (bike week) and they had some guy on at the salt tracks running a turbo hayabusa-- said with turbo full up it woudl make over 400hp-- I think they ran it at about 300 or so because of the salt and ran 230ish. I think they said he turned it up later and hit 240+.

I'm going to run into that problem. $289 per rear tire, $229 per front tire, plus shipping. Over $1k per change, and with 60 treadwear, runs out in 3-5k miles.

But the Zs are stickier for better handling...

Negative, you swipe him when you're going 30mph. If you were doing 200mph, he'd have already run off and left you.
