Honestly this is SUCH a great board considering it cost a meager 70 bucks brand new. I LOVE it and so far its stable as all hell. Hopefully I dont run into any problems this first week!

More like you are an unlucky one. There are many, many extremely happy owners of the board on this forum.

What kind of issues are you having? Most likely the issues you are seeing have been seen before and fixed. If you need any help with this board, just ask.

Yeah, I really love mine too. Too bad fvcking nvidia bought out ULi just when they started churning out some awesome chipsets. We might have seen a 3rd party motherboard chipset that could have done SLI and crossfire or something from them, given enough time.

I can't believe we only saw one board with this chipset though. There was such a demand for the combo AGP/PCI-E solution. I thought for sure we'd have some other higher end boards out by now...but its starting to seem doubtful.

My attitude going in to buying this board was "it's under $100, if it sucks I'll throw it away and get something else."... no financial risk at all, and it has not disappointed me, a very good performer... sure it's not perfect but neither are most $200 boards. I highly recommend it for all poor people/cheapskates. :)

You have been unlucky, I've owned an Asrock K7S8X, K7S8XE+, K8 Upgrade 760 GX and a 939 Dual Sata2 and all of them have worked perfectly! :)

It's also very unique for the full-speed AGP/PCI-E combination thing. I was pretty sure I wanted this board as soon as I heard about it - as evidenced by the fact that the long thread on the board here was a thread I started way back in July :p

I'm looking to buy a ULI chipset board and came here to find some reviews as to which to buy. Not familiar at all with Asrock, was leaning toward the Abit/Asus ULI boards. What's the consensus on the best ULI board which offers an AGP alternative?

I'll be transfering components from a S478 board like the X850XT, Corsair XMS XLL 1GB ram, XP90c H/S, 2X SATA Seagate HD's and will be using a 500W Seasonic P/S.

EDIT: Oh, I also already have an A64 3200+ Winny I'll be using in this build. It's been running @ 2.6 in an A8N-E......will this be doable in any of these boards? Been reading in New Egg reviews and other boards that overclocking is not so good on these boards.

I have had it running @275x9, and my X2 is running @2640Mhz (240x11). Great for OCing if you voltmod it, some have gotten it to 400Mhz FSB...

What's this "volt mod"? I've not read much about this. Does this apply to all ULI boards or just the Asrock?

Count me in as unlucky, never getting a budget board again after all the BS i've been through. Same problem as carstea1 if you're wondering. Wish I could just trash it, but $100 is still a lot of money... especially with only 2 months use.

I'm pretty sure the user is still blaming the board and not him....

"That board is a POS.. I did plug everything right and no go!!!"

Got one and fully stable and fast enough .

It's your for free if you come over to my place, take it out of my case and rebuild my system with a new board while I jab you with a stick:). Oh, and if you give me the last two months of my life back, you can have the stick too.

1) it's the only choice for those wanting to upgrade cpu/mobo while keeping their AGP card for a while longer

2) it works

3) it's cheap
