Ok, just installed the Bluegears card. OH MY FVCKING GOD. Totally annihilates my old Chaintech AV-710 and my on-board ALC880 sound.

Listening to Trance has never been so good. My neighbors hate me...it is hooked up to a Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speaker set.

The driver has a significant number of options, but not TOO many to confuse. I will eventually hook this thing up toslink to an external Denon receiver and higher end speakers...I cannot wait for that upgrade. I will probably get kicked out of my apartment.
 
The Chaintech AV-710 is still a great soundcard. It will go into a relative's system that likes to listen to music, and of course the right speakers will be paired with it.
