I love HOUSE, what a fun show.

Still just about on season 5 of The Good Wife ATM.

Watched House a few times in the past, wasn't bad.

I guess I have never been a network TV fan and have caught up a bit on a few.

I am going to continue with season 3 tonight.

I watched yesterday an episode of shadow hunters on netflix.
Was nicely done.

Kind of a series like Buffy the vampire slayer.
Only with all models playing the characters.
Never seen so much pretty people in one show.

After season 3, i get kind of annoyed sometimes with the character House.
He is an extreme anti-social functioning drug addict. The last part i do not care about, but the extreme anti social stuff i start to find annoying. Also, the last episodes i have seen, it is always the same format :

1 Patient has minor symptoms,
2 Patient is at the verge of death.
3 House comes in and says "You will be death in x days (x=1 to 3)".
4 he has some miraculous "Eureka" moment out of nothing.
5 Patient lives.
It start to become as detective shows where the detective out of the blue cooks up the most exotic idea without having any evidence.

But i hope it will get better.
A new episode of shadow hunter is also available now. 🙂

One character in the show mentioned it once : "That guy with that anti social attitude must be either a genius or he lives in the gutter".

yep. House was destroyed at the end. He might be rude, but he's a genuinely caring person - maybe not in the same way as everyone else, but he's certainly "the good guy". Breaks the rules, even endangers himself to save others.
Later on, they painted him as this out of control sociopath, they made him way less smart than he was previously, disruptive for no reason ..

and worst of all, they pulled that "ha ha it was all a dream" stunt with the love interest. i can't forgive that.

still, even after the massive cast fugue, i still enjoyed season five. except for that backstab, it was still good. season 6~8 go from bad to unwatchable.

i particularly hated his ex wife; horrible character and f* annoying actress.

Quiet! House is just about to make his 2nd incorrect diagnosis. Only one more to go!

When i watch that show, i almost get worried if i ever have to go to a hospital. 😀

Oh well, i have heard so much anecdotes about hospital personal making huge mistakes. Crippling the patients. Luckily it goes good most of the time.
But some doctors are just over worked and it is not strange they start to make mistakes. I understand that in hospitals it is almost a assembly line alike work.
The patients are almost delivered by means of a conveyor belt...

(I had to use a paper Dutch to English dictionary since google translate is not that good....)

Yeah, the whole patient always being ok by the end was kind of, well, not normal. It's not that you were rooting for the worst, but at some point it makes you say really? Even Scrubs had episodes where everything went to shit. I remember one where they had 3 or 4 patients and all of them died.

But i hope it will get better.

that's about the time i stopped watching house, after season 3 i think

most shows build up to a best season in 3 or 4, then get worse from there. the original ideas they had are used up, actors leave for new opportunities, and the writers try to spin off in a new direction or throw something new into a show.

but then it never feels as good as it used to.

I am now at season 5. Especially Kutner , Taub and Cuddy are great. House is his boring self in the same way as he became after the failed ketamine experiment in season 3. 13 ,Olivia Wilde sure is a fest for teh eyes.

My favorite scene was when Dr. House is doing clinic work (his least favorite duty), and walks into the treatment room.

House: "What's wrong with you?"
Patient: "I don't know, doc! I hurt all over! When I touch myself here, ouch! When I touch myself here, ouch! When I touch myself here, ouch!!"
House grabs the patient's finger, which causes the patient to holler in great pain.
House: "Your finger is broken! That's what's wrong with you!" 😀

HA !

I also found it funny about
he cooking up parthenogenesis story as a virgin birth to hide the fact that the girl cheated, while both mentioned they never had sex.
It happened at Christmas eve. When House told it, the boyfriend looked up in the air and that "Oh my Lord, i am dating Mary" look he gave his girlfriend.

It's certainly not the funniest scene in the show, but what I remember the most is when Foreman gets sick from that amoeba or whatever it was, and they were trying to figure out why he was getting worse faster than the other guy who had it.

Cameron: "Foreman's black"
House: "What?!? How long have you been sitting on this information?"

House got pretty repetitive quickly for me. You basically only need to watch the first 5 minutes and last 5 minutes of each show, since the rest was half commercials and half scenes of House's team coming up with incorrect diagnoses.

The medical "mystery" of each show isn't really the show. Sure, it's a formula, but it's not why you watch house. The interesting stuff is the inter-group interactions, rotating cast, watching House abuse his position, etc.

House is great. I'm watching the series on Netflix for the 3rd time. It's what I watch when I'm bored but I think I need a break for a while. I'll pick it up again in 6 months or so.

Yay, House becomes less of an ass in season 6.
That look on Foreman's face in episode 6 of Season 6 (Brave heart) during the autopsy...
