Yeah that's true, we don't appreciate the free health care as we should. Unfortunately I'm young and healthy and don't get to take advantage of it that often.

They need some kinda system where you can cash in some of your healthiness or something. :D

the only thing that really sucks, is the 35% is before the extra 15% added in Ontario for PST/GST

Hmmm...according to my pay stub, I give back 8% for federal taxes and 3% for state taxes. And yes, health care included :)

Ding ding ding. They are paying for it one way or the other. It's far from free. I'll take my not "free" but much better health care anyday. :)

The program is definitely not meant for those with financial means. It's designed to help those who otherwise would not be able to afford adequate healthcare. That's the idea atleast.
