Dammit. I want a Corgi.

Growing up, we almost always had a dog or two. We never bought one and they were never given to us. We'd just be friendly to strays and the really great ones decided to stick around.

I didn't recognize breeds back then, but one of the best dogs I ever had looked very much like a Corgi. Even with those short legs, she could run like lightning. Every time she would see me or my brother, even if we were far down the street, she would bolt toward us and run full-bore until she reached us.

That guy's name is Tuna. Not my dog, but I helped raise him. I can't find a pic of my two dogs online and am too lazy to work one up.

Josie when she was healthy. Best tempered dog you can imagine. My mother used to play a game where she would grab her tongue and Josie wouldn't even do anything about it. Even while eating she was the most docile dog ever (usually dogs are territorial about their food).

And a few days before we were forced to put her down. You can see she's suffering in these shots. You can see she only has 3 legs in the shot where she is eating. We had to amputate one of her legs due to cancer a few years before. The cancer sadly came back and spread. The reason she's eating off the crate is because she can no longer bend down at this point due to pain :'(

Too bad he managed to live through his whole presidency, not that I'm condoning assassination of course. It's just too bad that umm... a huge natural sink hole didn't open up under the white house one day while he and most of his staff were there.
